Leaders lead by example. “Since an overseer manages God's household, he must be blameless—not overbearing, not quick-tempered, not given to drunkenness, not violent, not pursuing dishonest gain. 8 Rather, he must be hospitable, one who loves what is good, who is self-controlled, upright, holy and disciplined. Other scriptures used in this chopup are as follows: Amos 3:3; Ecclesiasticus 26:16; Proverbs 1:5; Proverbs 24:6 & Ecclesiasticus 44:4. 

Five qualities of effective leaders are:

• They are self-aware and prioritize personal development
• They focus on developing others
• They encourage strategic thinking, innovation, and action
• They are ethical and civic-minded
• They practice effective cross-cultural communication
